Job summary

Ben Bridge Jeweler Inc in Bellevue, WA seeks a highly skilled Jewelry Repair Bench Jeweler to join our Repair Design Center. You will perform advanced repairs, design modifications, and create bespoke pieces, collaborating with our design team on high-value projects.

The role requires at least 7 years' bench experience, mastery of stone setting, soldering, polishing, and finishing, and strong attention to detail. On-site, Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years as a bench jeweler with high-end repairs and custom design.
  • Proficient in all aspects of jewelry repair including stone setting, soldering, polishing and finishing.
  • Strong design skills for complex custom projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of gemstones, precious metals, and construction techniques.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong communication and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced jewelry repairs including resizing, stone resetting, prong repair, and soldering.
  • Design and fabricate custom jewelry following client specifications.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to realize concepts.
  • Restore antique and heirloom pieces with precision.
  • Work with gold, platinum, silver, diamonds and gemstones to achieve results.
  • Ensure work meets quality, durability and design standards.
  • Communicate with clients, offering repairs and customization recommendations.
  • Maintain and operate bench tools and ensure a safe workspace.

As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Jewelry Repair Bench Jeweler to join our team.

The Master Jeweler will be responsible for intricate jewelry repair, customized design modifications, and the creation of bespoke jewelry pieces. This role requires an individual with exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will collaborate with our design team, work with high-value materials, and uphold our commitment to quality and artistry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced jewelry repairs, including re-sizing, stone resetting, prong repair, and soldering, while ensuring the structural integrity and aesthetic quality of each piece.
  • Design and fabricate custom jewelry pieces following client specifications and company standards.
  • Collaborate with the design and production teams to bring unique concepts to life, providing insights on feasibility and craftsmanship.
  • Restore antique and heirloom jewelry to its original condition with precision and care.
  • Work with precious metals (gold, platinum, silver) and high-value gemstones, including diamonds and colored stones, to achieve exceptional results.
  • Ensure all work adheres to company standards for quality, durability, and design excellence.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing expertise and recommendations for repairs, modifications, and custom creations.
  • Maintain and operate bench tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring a safe and efficient workspace.
Minimum Requirements:
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience as a bench jeweler, with a focus on high-end repairs and custom design work.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of jewelry repair, including stone setting, soldering, polishing, and finishing.
  • Strong design skills and the ability to conceptualize and execute complex custom projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of gemstones, precious metals, and jewelry construction techniques.
  • Experience working with CAD/CAM software (preferred but not required).
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing work of the highest quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Working Standards:
  • Will be required to work on site in Repair Design Center located in Bellevue, 5 days a week.
  • Able to sit for extended periods while working on jewelry pieces.
  • Able to perform tasks that require manual dexterity and precise hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to distinguish fine details, colors, and textures under magnification.
  • Overtime as required
Work Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday: 9am - 6pm, unless otherwise noted
Range: $32.00 - $39.00 per hour

Fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience levels, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
