Schedule:

• FULL TIME
• 5 days a week / 2 days off
• Monday thru Saturday availability
• Sundays off

Job Description

The Experienced GM Automotive Service Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair & maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer & factory standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, & other vehicle issues.
• Perform routine maintenance & repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, & other automotive systems as outlined on repair orders.
• Work efficiently to diagnose malfunctions & complete repairs within established timeframes.
• Collaborate with service advisors, technicians, lead technician, foreman & parts department to prioritize & schedule repairs.
• Conduct thorough quality inspections to ensure all repairs meet or exceed industry standards or verify if additional safety of service work is required.
• Address any issues or discrepancies promptly with Service Advisor, team lead, or foreman (parts, time promised, etc).
• Document all diagnostic & repair activities accurately.
• Complete repair orders & maintain detailed records of services performed.
• Attend factory-sponsored training classes to stay informed about the latest automotive technologies & industry trends.
• Attend training sessions to enhance skills & knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE Certifications
• 4+ years of mechanic or Automotive Service Technician experience (flat rate/diagnostics)
• Must have own set of tools
• Strong diagnostic & problem-solving skills
• Proficient in using diagnostic equipment & tools
• Knowledge of automotive systems, components, & repair procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
