Job summary

Eaton's Protection, Control and Solutions division in Moon Township, PA seeks a Master Technician - Electronics to join the Advanced Technology team. You will assist engineering in building and testing prototypes and production samples, document test plans, record data, and provide detailed test reports.

Ideal candidate has an associate degree and at least 2 years in product development, with strong electrical/EMC knowledge and hands-on lab skills.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electrical or Electro-mechanical Technology or related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in a product development environment with electrical or electro-mechanical products.
• Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
• No relocation is offered. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of Moon Township, PA.

Responsibilities

• Understand electrical circuits and mechanical drawings while working with design engineers.
• Build engineering prototypes and set-up lab tests per engineer’s instructions; collect, record, and plot test data.
• Perform preliminary analysis of test data in lab.
• Successful programming and setting of parameters in microcontrollers for use in testing.
• Electrical proficiency—work with wiring, wire harnesses, PCBA’s and component assembly.
• Test equipment: knowledge and ability to use oscilloscopes, power supplies and other standard lab equipment.
• Develop automated test programs and systems, with documentation for maintenance and use by others.
• Lead and coordinate assignments; plan purchasing to support new equipment installation and development labs.
• Maintain equipment by coordinating or conducting repairs or calibration.
