Job summary

Artesian Water Company is seeking a Wastewater Maintenance Mechanic / Master Electrician to lead electrical design, installation, and maintenance across wastewater treatment facilities and pump stations. This role requires deep expertise with MCCs, VFDs, PLCs, SCADA, generators, and instrumentation, plus the ability to guide technicians and ensure safety and code compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Minimum of five years in industrial or municipal electrical maintenance.
• Extensive experience with wastewater, water, or industrial electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of the NEC and related electrical codes.
• Experience with MCCs, VFDs, PLCs, generators, and SCADA.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the department’s technical expert for electrical systems.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade electrical distribution systems.
• Design, modify, and improve electrical systems in accordance with the NEC and company standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical failures involving pumps, motors, VFDs, PLCs, SCADA equipment, generators, and instrumentation.
• Provide technical guidance to Journeyman Electricians, mechanics, contractors, and operations personnel.
