Absolute Air Services in Portland, CT is seeking an experienced E-1 Master Electrician to lead hands-on residential work while growing into leadership responsibilities. You will run service calls, diagnose complex issues, install panels and EV chargers, and mentor apprentices, all while upholding safety and code standards.

The role emphasizes field work, strong customer communication, and the opportunity to shape a growing residential electrical department.

Qualificações

• Active Connecticut E-1 Electrical Contractor license required.
• Strong residential electrical service, repair, and installation experience.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and Connecticut electrical requirements.
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to independently manage complex residential service calls.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical findings clearly to homeowners.
• Willingness to mentor and support less-experienced electricians.
• Previous lead, foreman, or mentoring experience is a plus, but not required.
• Interest in growing into additional leadership responsibility over time.
• Comfortable using tablets, mobile applications, CRM systems, and field service software.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsabilidades

• Run residential electrical service and repair calls.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential systems.
• Install and replace panels, breakers, circuits, outlets, switches, lighting, ceiling fans, and related electrical components.
• Complete service upgrades, wiring repairs, dedicated circuits, and electrical system improvements.
• Install EV chargers, generators, surge protection, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and other residential electrical equipment.
• Perform electrical safety inspections and identify code, performance, and safety concerns.
• Explain findings and recommend appropriate repair or replacement options to homeowners.
• Complete accurate estimates, service notes, photos, and required documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional vehicle and work environment.
• Serve as a technical resource for other electricians when complex issues arise.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and less-experienced electricians.
• Help reinforce quality, safety, and code-compliance standards across the electrical team.
• Support field leadership with technical questions, quality checks, and troubleshooting as needed.
