Job summary

Cobb County School District in Marietta, GA, seeks a Master Electrician to support the Maintenance Services division. The role provides installation and repair of electrical equipment and offers leadership to a maintenance helper.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, maintaining inventory, on-call support, and ensuring safety compliance. The position reports to the Supervisor, Maintenance Services and follows the Classified Hourly pay grade.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or HSE required.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license; Unrestricted Class II Electrical license (or 5 years experience in electrical trade in lieu).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical trade.
• Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting up to 75 pounds and climbing stairs/ladders.

Responsibilities

• Promotes good relations and a positive image with customers, the public and peers.
• Provides direction to Maintenance Helper and reports performance issues to supervisor.
• Provides on-call support 24/7 as needed.
• Completes maintenance documents and ensures compliance with state/local requirements.
• Maintains parts inventory and proper use of tools and equipment.
