The Cobb County School District seeks a Master Electrician to provide installation and repair of electrical systems in district facilities. The role includes leadership of a maintenance helper, on-call support, and ensuring safety and compliance across sites.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or higher, a valid Georgia Class II Electrical license (or 5 years of similar experience in lieu), and 5 years of electrical trade experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or HSE required.
  • Valid Georgia driver's license; Unrestricted Class II Electrical license. (A minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical Construction may be used in lieu of the Class II Electrical license.)
  • 5 years of experience in electrical trade.
  • Physical activities: walking, standing, kneeling, stairs and ladders, lifting 75 pounds.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: written and oral communication, computer skills, electrical competence.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
  • Provides direction to Maintenance Helper and reports performance issues.
  • Provides on-call support 24/7.
  • Completes paperwork for maintenance database and state/local requirements.
  • Maintains parts inventory and vehicle/tools for maintenance tasks.
