Job summary

UnityPoint Health - Meriter in Wisconsin seeks a Master Electrician to oversee installation and maintenance of the hospital's power distribution, supervise internal and external electrical work, and coordinate with city inspectors, architects, and engineers.

Requirements: Wisconsin Master Electrician certification, 6+ years' experience, and healthcare code knowledge. Shift: Weekdays 7a-3:30p, 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• WI Master Electrician certification required and a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 years of practical electrical experience in healthcare or similar settings.
• Knowledge of codes, electrical theory, and safe installation practices for hospitals.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong teamwork and communication with inspectors, architects, and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation and maintenance of hospital power distribution systems.
• Supervise internal staff and external electrical contractors.
• Coordinate inspections with city electrical inspectors and project stakeholders.
• Manage electrical permits and perform safety testing and power studies.
• Advise management on corrective plans for major power issues.
