What You’ll Do

As a Master Electrician, you will perform and oversee commercial electrical installations, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on commercial construction projects throughout the Richmond area.

Responsibilities Include

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial electrical and control systems
Work with relays, starters, switches, motors, and motor control equipment
Install and support Motor Control Centers, switchgear, transformers, and power distribution systems
Install heat tracing systems, cable trays, conduit, wiring, conductors, and junction boxes
Run conduit, pull wire, terminate conductors, and complete electrical installations according to project specifications
Diagnose electrical issues and complete repairs efficiently and safely
Read and interpret electrical drawings, plans, and specifications
Ensure work complies with NEC, OSHA, local codes, and company safety standards
Work independently or oversee assigned electrical work with minimal supervision
Provide technical guidance and leadership to helpers, apprentices, and other electricians as needed
Support quality control, productivity, and safe jobsite practices

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

Active Master Electrician license
Commercial electrical experience
Strong knowledge of NEC code requirements
Understanding of OSHA safety practices and jobsite safety standards
Ability to work independently and manage assigned work with minimal supervision
Ability to troubleshoot commercial electrical systems
Strong communication and customer service skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

Trade school, apprenticeship, or formal electrical training
Previous experience as an Electrical Foreman, Lead Electrician, or senior commercial electrician
Experience working for an MEP contractor or commercial construction contractor
Experience with large-scale commercial or industrial projects
