Job summary

A+ Derr is seeking a licensed Master Electrician to lead our Louisville residential electrical service team. The role emphasizes safety, craftsmanship, and superior customer service while mentoring Journeyman Electricians and Apprentices on diverse projects, including generator-related work.

The candidate will ensure code compliance, perform complex diagnostics, and manage multiple projects with a strong emphasis on quality and integrity.

Qualifications

• Must have Kentucky Master Electrician License.
• Valid driver's license with good driving history.
• Minimum 5 years of residential electrical experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills are required.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and blueprints.
• Experience supervising or mentoring electrical team members.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, and on ladders.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential electrical systems.
• Install, replace, and upgrade panels, circuits, outlets, and lighting.
• Perform whole-home electrical inspections and safety checks.
• Install/ service standby generators and transfer switches.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and propose repair options.
• Ensure compliance with NEC and local codes.
• Lead Journeyman Electricians, Apprentices, and Helpers.
• Document estimates and invoices accurately, maintain clean worksites.
• Participate in on-call rotation and foster customer relationships.
