Job summary

RHI Magnesita is seeking a Master Data Specialist on-site to manage SAP master data and support production planning, inventory and business processes.

You will create and maintain master data in SAP, monitor data quality, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with business leaders, IT teams and data stewards to improve data accuracy and processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Direct experience managing material numbers, bills of materials, routings, or similar information within an ERP system.
  • Proficiency with SAP S/4HANA and related tools.
  • Knowledge of master data governance and data-quality principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Accurate master data is essential to keeping a manufacturing operation running efficiently. As a Master Data Specialist, you will help ensure the information supporting production planning, inventory, and other business processes remains accurate, reliable, and aligned across the organization.


In this role, you will create and maintain master data in SAP, monitor data quality, troubleshoot issues, and partner with business leaders, IT teams, and data stewards to support operational needs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys detailed analytical work, cross-functional problem-solving, and improving the processes behind critical business information.


What You\'ll Do


Master Data Management



  • Create, update, and maintain master data in SAP using established end-to-end processes.

  • Identify data dependencies involved in master data creation and change processes.

  • Maintain workflow owners, task configurations, and change-management processes for assigned locations and profit centers.

  • Support the systems, tools, resources, and processes used to maintain consistent master data throughout the global organization.


Data Quality & Reporting



  • Generate and analyze daily and weekly master data key performance indicators.

  • Perform data validation, audits, and quality checks to maintain accurate and reliable information.

  • Monitor key performance measures related to the overall health of SAP master data.

  • Identify potential data errors and support timely resolution.


Cross-Functional Support



  • Partner with business leaders, operational teams, IT partners, and data stewards to gather requirements and ensure data alignment.

  • Troubleshoot process and technical issues in collaboration with appropriate business and technical partners.

  • Communicate master data needs, dependencies, and concerns across the organization.


Process Improvement & Documentation



  • Develop and maintain process documentation, job aids, and training materials.

  • Identify continuous-improvement opportunities that strengthen data accuracy and operational efficiency.

  • Support projects and process changes related to master data management.

Required Qualifications



  • Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

  • This position works in both office and manufacturing environments.

  • Employees may be exposed to indoor and outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other industrial elements.

  • May require standing, walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, climbing, and lifting. Employees must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment, including a hard hat, safety glasses, safety shoes, and gloves.
