Job summary

Mauna Kea Resort seeks an experienced Cook IV to take complete responsibility for designated stations, ensuring hot and cold items are prepared and plated to specification. You will work across restaurant, cafeteria, and banquet menus with a strong focus on mise en place, quality, and efficiency.

The role requires teamwork, the ability to manage heavy workloads during peak periods, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous culinary experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare designated restaurant, cafeteria and banquet items, including action stations.
• Prepare sauces, dressings, and mise en place according to recipes.
• Check freshness and storage of products daily.
• Set up, prep, and breakdown stations for service.
• Assist senior cooks with requisitions and receiving food items.
• Read order tickets and BEO to prepare items on time.
• Conduct opening/closing duties and maintain clean, organized workspaces.
• Communicate guest requests to the chef or lead cook.
