Master Control Room and Ingest Operator

Summary

Reach Media is looking for a technically sharp and solution-driven Master Control Room and Ingest Operator to join our growing automated studio team in Washington, DC. This role will have a pivotal hand in ensuring live feeds, ingest operations, transmission paths, and studio workflows run smoothly and reliably during live news production.

We’re looking for someone who thrives under pressure, understands broadcast workflows, and can confidently manage multiple live contribution sources in real time.

Requirements

• 3+ years working with live studio and guest connections
• Route and ingest live feeds from multiple sources
• Monitor contribution and transmission paths
• Operate ingest, routing, and signal systems
• Troubleshoot live feed and transmission issues
• Support control room and live production teams
• Maintain ingest logs and technical reports
• Ensure broadcast quality and timing standards
• Location: Washington, DC
• Schedule: 5 days per week with rotating schedule (flexibility – our newsroom operates 24/7)
• Salary: $54,000 – $75,000 per year
