Job summary

Nexstar Media is seeking a Master Control Operations Technician in Chicago to operate and monitor master control systems supporting national feeds and remote studios. You will maintain quality control, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth content delivery.

The role requires 2 years in live broadcast ops, familiarity with Florical or similar automation, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Two years experience of broadcast operations in a professional live media operation environment.
Experience with Florical or other broadcast automation systems is a must.
Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Broadcast engineering background is a plus.
Must be self-sufficient and have a press-on-regardless attitude.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Schedule flexibility incl. evenings, weekends and holidays; some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor master control systems distributing content via automation, following FCC rules.
Maintain quality control and communicate with stakeholders to resolve issues quickly.
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of broadcast operations and anticipate problems.
Troubleshoot effectively using IT and broadcasting skills; communicate issues clearly for resolution.
Collaborate with remote studios, affiliates, and national feeds as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
