Job summary

Nexstar Media Group Inc. in Chicago is seeking a Master Control Operations Technician to oversee master control systems and automate content distribution across Nexstar’s broadcast facilities, including NewsNation and related networks.

You will monitor systems, ensure quality control, and coordinate with engineers and operations teams. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in live media operations and a solid grounding in broadcasting engineering.

Qualifications

• Two years experience of broadcast operations in a professional live media operation environment required.
• Experience with Florical or other broadcast automation systems is a must.
• Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Broadcast engineering background is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Operate master control systems and equipment to support Nexstar’s broadcast facilities.
• Monitor and maintain quality control standards for content distribution via automation.
• Communicate issues quickly and effectively with stakeholders.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Utilize IT and broadcasting skills to resolve operational issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
