Job summary

Hearst Television is seeking a Master Control Operator in Kansas City to manage the broadcast chain, monitor multiple channels, and assemble on-air playlists. You will ingest programs and commercials, timing them to ensure proper play and quality control across all streams.

The role requires knowledge of graphics and automation systems, plus the ability to document transmission events and maintain regulatory compliance. In-person attendance is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with computer, email, software and web applications.
• Exposure to television station operations and newscast production is a plus.
• Willing to work all shifts and weekends; collaborative and independent work style.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate live and recorded programming for broadcast.
• Maintain on air operation with commercials and local programming.
• Monitor channels for regulatory compliance and signal integrity.
• Operate broadcast automation equipment and follow EAS procedures.
• Observe transmitters, log transmissions, and edit playlists.
• In person attendance is required.
