Zeyron is seeking a Master CNC Setup Technician to set up, operate, and optimize CNC dual spindle lathes for precision parts. You will manage tooling, offsets, cycle times, and first-article approval while collaborating with programmers and quality teams.

The role requires strong G-code knowledge, proven setup capabilities, and meticulous measurement skills in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years CNC setup experience on lathes (dual spindle preferred).
• Strong understanding of G-code and CNC controls.
• Ability to independently set up complex jobs from prints and setup sheets.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools.
• Solid understanding of cutting tools and inserts.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete setups on CNC dual spindle lathes, including main/sub spindle synchronization
• Load and verify CNC programs (G-code), ensuring correct revisions are used
• Set tools, work offsets, wear offsets, and part zeroes
• Install tooling, holders, collets, chucks, bar feeders, and part catchers
• Trouble troubleshoot setup, tooling, and machining issues
• Optimize cycle times, feeds, speeds, and tool life while maintaining quality
• Assist with process improvements and standardization
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions
• Use precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, comparators, etc.)
• Ensure parts meet dimensional and surface finish requirements
• Complete setup sheets, inspection records, and production documentation
• Work in accordance with safety procedures and shop policies
• Perform basic machine maintenance and daily inspections
• Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S)

Job Summary

The CNC Setup Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, and optimizing CNC dual spindle lathes to produce precision parts that meet quality, safety, and productivity standards. This role focuses on machine setup, tooling, fixturing, offsets, and first-article approval, working closely with programmers and quality personnel.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Setup & Operation

• Perform complete setups on CNC dual spindle lathes, including main/sub spindle synchronization
• Load and verify CNC programs (G-code), ensuring correct revisions are used
• Set tools, work offsets, wear offsets, and part zeroes
• Install and tooling, holders, collets, chucks, bar feeders, and part catchers

Required Qualifications
