Job summary

Innovated Machine & Tool Co., Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Laser Operator to program, set up, and run Mazak laser equipment for precision sheet metal parts. You will read blueprints, verify tolerances with calipers, and handle materials with loading automation.

Eligible candidates will edit G-code, perform multiple setups per shift, and lift up to 75 lbs with forklift or pallet jack. This is a full-time on-site role in Newport News, VA, in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a CNC laser to produce sheet metal parts.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools (calipers).
• Experience with material loading automation and setup procedures.
• Ability to edit G-code and perform multiple setups per shift.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and operate pallet jack or forklift.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, calibrate and perform basic PM on machines.
• Diagnose equipment issues with maintenance technicians as needed.
• Monitor cutting performance and adjust parameters for efficiency.
• Read work orders and select correct materials.
• Move raw materials and parts to/from machines with pallet jack or forklift.
• Record daily production activity and quality checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all safety rules.
