Job summary

Skillit is seeking skilled Carpenters and Concrete Carpenters (journeyman+) for projects across select U.S. cities, including Columbus and Cleveland, OH. The role covers journeymen, masters, foremen and superintendents with drywall framing and concrete formwork experience; competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Position requires the ability to read blueprints, interpret safety regulations, and handle tools (powered and non-powered) while prioritizing safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Have journeyman+ carpentry skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to work with tools, such as, power and non-powered hand tools.
• Willing and able to follow instructions and ask clarifying questions.
• Ability to handle materials that can weigh up to 200 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and follow blueprints and project specifications for carpentry tasks.
• Perform framing, installing structures, and finishing work.
• Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines at all times.
• Use powered and non-powered tools effectively and safely.
• Seek clarification to ensure accurate work.
• Lift and handle materials with care and safety.
• Pay close attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship.
