Are you seeking a dynamic carpentry opportunity within a sophisticated residential design and build construction company in the downtown Boston area? Are you the best of the best carpenter you know?

Sleeping Dog Properties is a Boston-based design-build company founded in 1993. We specialize in delivering experiences of exceptional quality, focusing on residential, hospitality, and retail projects in Boston and New England. Our goal is to create properties of enduring value with superior design and finishes, supported by a strong ethic of personal service.

We are actively hiring up to 5 experienced Carpenters to work under the guidance of the Lead Carpenter and Site Supervisor. Carpenters will handle projects from framing to finish on various project sizes, contributing to a top-tier team at a prime city location.

General Job Responsibilities
  • Set up job-sites each morning with necessary tools and equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety at the work site
  • Clean and store equipment properly at day’s end
  • Wear personal protective gear at all times
  • Guide and supervise apprentice carpenters and laborers
  • Practice responsible tool care and maintenance
  • Represent the company positively in all interactions
  • Complete assigned project tasks efficiently
Minimum Requirements
  • OSHA-10 certification (we will certify you)
  • RRP certification (preferred, we will certify you)
  • At least 4 years of carpentry experience
  • Ability to read and build from plans
  • Generate stock lists and place orders
  • Draw details for custom parts and attachments
