Responsibilities

• Performs all functions of the Custom Fabricator I.
• Fabricates parts for cabinets (sides, tops, etc.).
• Operates power tools (chop saw, table saw, shaper, router, mitre saw).
• Operates hand tools (orbital sander, staple, router).
• Identifies damaged/missing parts and arranges remakes.
• Reorders stock components as needed.
• Organizes work to meet daily production needs.
• Maintains quality and sanitary work area; follows safety rules.
• Makes basic math calculations and reads tape measures.

• Salary Grade G
• $26.25 - 32.50

Job Summary

The Master Cabinet Builder is responsible for fabricating parts for custom cabinets in preparation for assembly from a cut list, job order and/or detailed drawing.

Job Duties

• Performs all functions of the Custom Fabricator I.
• Fabricates parts needed for custom cabinets i.e. sides, tops, etc.
• Operates power tools for fabrication i.e., chop saw, table saw, shaper, router, mitre saw, etc.
• Operates hand tools for fabrication i.e., orbital sander, staple, router.
• Identifies damaged and missing parts as well as repairs, remakes or orders remakes.
• Reorders stock components as needed.
• Organizes work to insure product is in appropriate locations to meet the demands of daily product construction issues.
• Demonstrates self-motivation in the timely completion of daily/weekly assignments.
• Ensures products produced meet acceptable quality standards.
• Follows safety procedures and maintains work area as well as equipment in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.
• Maintains a working knowledge of the various wood species and can differentiate between them.
• Makes fundamental mathematical calculations as well as reads measurement devices, i.e. tape measure, etc.
• Fills in other areas as needed.
