X Studios, Inc. is seeking a Master Carpenter for an initial 6–8 week contract to lead exhibit fabrication and custom casework. You will interpret drawings, fabricate components, and install with craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in exhibit fabrication or custom casework.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with woodworking tools, machinery, and fabrication techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

Responsabilités

• Interpret and execute detailed construction drawings and blueprints.
• Fabricate and install custom exhibit components, display cases, and architectural millwork.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other craftsmen to ensure design intent and quality standards are met.
• Select materials and methods for each project, considering durability and aesthetics.
• Maintain a safe and organized workshop, adhering to safety protocols.
• Mentor junior carpenters and/or helpers, fostering skill development.

Job Summary(6–8 Week Contract):

We are seeking a Master Carpenter with extensive experience in exhibit fabrication and custom casework for an initial 6‑to 8‑week contract. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, a passion for craftsmanship, and the ability to bring complex designs to life. Exceptional performance during the contract may open the door to a full‑time role with our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and execute detailed construction drawings and blueprints.
• Fabricate and install custom exhibit components, display cases, and architectural millwork.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other craftsmen to ensure design intent and quality standards are met.
• Select appropriate materials and methods for each project, considering durability and aesthetics.
• Maintain a safe and organized workshop, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Mentor junior carpenters and/or helpers, fostering skill development and craftsmanship.

• Knowledge of finishing techniques, including staining, painting, and laminating.
