About The Role
All Access is looking for a skilled Carpenter to join our Fabrication - Carpentry team. This role is responsible for the construction, fabrication, installation, and repair of wood and finish components used in staging, live events, and custom fabrication projects.
This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship and enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment. You’ll perform both rough and finish carpentry and work with materials including wood, plastics, laminates, carpet, textiles, and other fabrication materials.
You’ll collaborate with our Fabrication, Technical Design, Project Management, and other teams to bring projects from drawings and specifications to finished products used throughout the live-event and entertainment industry.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position with eligibility for company benefits following the applicable waiting period.
What You'll Do
- Perform rough and finish carpentry for staging equipment, custom fabrication, and related projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Measure, lay out, cut, assemble, and install materials according to project specifications.
- Construct and install stair units, decking, platforms, cabinets, millwork, doors, and other wood components.
- Perform lamination work, including cutting, fitting, bonding, and installation of laminate materials.
- Work with a variety of materials including wood, plastics, laminates, carpet, textiles, hardware, adhesives, and related fabrication materials.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment.
- Inspect completed work for proper fit, alignment, finish, functionality, and overall quality.
- Identify fabrication or installation issues and make accurate adjustments as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and work environment.
- Follow company safety policies, standard operating procedures, and project requirements.
- Collaborate with Technical Design, Project Management, Fabrication, and other departments to complete projects accurately and on schedule.
- Complete required crew training and safety modules.
- Work extended hours, weekends, and overtime when required to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of professional carpentry or construction experience, preferably in fabrication, staging, scenic, entertainment, commercial, or similar environments.
- Strong rough and finish carpentry skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Experience with lamination, cabinetry, millwork, or architectural/finish carpentry.
- Strong measurement, layout, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with common hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment.
- Experience working safely with woodshop tools and equipment.
- Familiarity with construction and fabrication materials, hardware, adhesives, and finishing products.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Ability to work weekends and overtime as required during peak production periods.
