Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc seeks a Master Black Belt to lead the Operational Excellence Program at the Evadale Mill. You will guide Lean-Six Sigma efforts, mentor belts at various levels, and drive projects with significant financial impact. This is a site-based role reporting to the Regional Master Black Belt.

You will collaborate with mill leadership to prioritize productivity initiatives, align with financial plans, and ensure robust project execution across DMAIC, Kaizen, and E3 methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or Paper Science preferred.
• 5–10 years of relevant industry experience with leadership growth.
• Ability to execute complex, data-based projects in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach multiple process-improvement teams.
• Translate improvements into budgeted financial benefits.
• Align productivity priorities with financial plans and division objectives.
• Develop and mentor belts across Yellow, Green, and Black levels.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure DMAIC/Kaizen standards.
