The role emphasizes independent work, high-quality workmanship, and accurate documentation of repairs performed. A professional toolset and valid license are required; ASE certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of professional automotive repair experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and diagnostics.
• Experience with engine, transmission, and drivetrain repairs.
• Experience with Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, RAM and domestic light-duty trucks preferred.
• Valid driver's license; ASE Master Technician certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs.
• Diagnose electrical, engine performance, drivability, and mechanical concerns.
• Perform engine, transmission, transfer case, differential, suspension, steering, and brake repairs.
• Perform scheduled fleet maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on county and state government vehicles.
• Complete preventative maintenance services and identify potential mechanical or safety concerns.
• Complete thorough vehicle inspections and accurately document findings.
• Work on routine repairs, major mechanical projects, custom Jeep builds and restorations.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors, management, and fellow technicians.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Ensure repairs are completed correctly, efficiently, and to Inland Jeep's quality standards.
• Take ownership of assigned work from initial diagnosis through final quality control.
