Join Our Team: Master Automotive Technician at Midas Auto Service Experts

We are seeking a Master Automotive Technician to join our team at Midas Auto Service Experts. This role requires experience and technical expertise in diagnosing drivability, air conditioning, and electrical systems. The successful candidate will use leadership and mentoring skills to motivate a team, enhance customer care, and ensure customer satisfaction. You will have direct interaction with customers, educating them about vehicle issues and solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Diagnose and repair specifications including brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel, ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
2. Perform duties of all lower job descriptions (Technician A, Technician B, Mechanic, General Service Technician).
3. Explain technical diagnoses and repairs clearly to customers and staff.
4. Continuously update technical knowledge through training.
5. Assist colleagues in technical tasks.
6. Report mechanical issues to management promptly.
7. Maintain a clean and organized shop environment.
8. Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

This position requires leadership qualities, a team-first mentality, and collaboration skills. Candidates should meet the following criteria:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of automotive diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair experience.
• 8+ ASE certifications (A1-A8) preferred.
• Section 609 Certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Motivated, energetic, customer-focused attitude.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.
• Availability for flexible working hours including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Must be able to stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift heavy equipment (>50 pounds). May work outdoors and be exposed to weather, chemicals, and dust. Specific vision abilities include close, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
