Job summary

The new Advanced Manufacturing Hub at Miami Hamilton campus is hiring 1-3 undergraduate engineering students for 100% on-site, hands‑on role, assisting with equipment deployment, research, & laboratory operations across various technical disciplines.

Salary is $12–$13.50 per hour; a minimum of 6 hours on-site weekly is required, with 5–20 hours available. Must be an undergraduate student and have reliable transportation to campus.

Qualifications

• Must be an undergraduate student (not masters or Phd).
• Minimum 6 hours onsite per week; schedule 5–20 hours weekly.
• Engineering courses completed in either Oxford or Hamilton engineering programs.
• Reliable transportation to our location.

Responsibilities

• Software: CAD, CAM, Inventory, engineering lab equipment.
• Provide support for divisional/departmental services in Engineering Technology Department.
• Provide supervisory functions including scheduling, training needs, preparing training materials, and conducting training sessions.
• Work is done independently of supervision.
• Learn equipment and lab safety for our labs such as robotic, subtractive lab, & Electro Mechaical.

AM Hub is a 70,000 square foot facility consisting of 11 labs with room to grow.

Job Requirements

The results-oriented role requires a minimum of 6 hours onsite per week, a strong commitment to understanding lab‑specific safety procedures, & reminding lab occupants (students, visitors, partners, etc.) of safety procedures.

Duration

Semester‑based with the potential for extension.

Must be an undergraduate student (not masters or Phd).

Minimal qualifications: Engineering knowledge and experience is required from coursework and/or previous jobs.

Need consistent weekly availability of 5 hours minimum (maximum 20).

Salary

Student Masters Undergrad positions pay $12-$13.5 hr (based on experience.)
