Job summary

Ten Thousand Waves, renowned for its massage therapists, seeks skilled practitioners to join its Therapy Department in Santa Fe. Independent contractors with flexible hours (full or part-time) benefit from education opportunities and a premium spa environment.

Training with renowned teachers and full scheduling options are provided. Must hold NM massage license and CPR/First Aid certification, with evening/weekend availability.

Qualifications

Job description

Ten Thousand Waves has the reputation of having the best massage therapists in the US. The spectacular natural beauty of the facility and environment add to the healing experience guests receive.

We are looking to expand our Therapy Department with a few more highly skilled and experienced massage therapists. We support our therapists with many opportunities for high-quality training, education, and accredited CEUs. We have a year-round business, so therapists typically have plenty of work, even in the depths of winter. We're open from 9 am to 9 pm, 7 days per week with 24 therapy rooms, giving therapists a great choice when determining their schedules.

• Our therapists are independent contractors -- compared to employee status, youreceive better pay and enjoy tax advantages.
• We offer subsidized continuing education approved by NCBTMB and/or the NM Board of Massage, including opportunities to train with world-renowned teachers. An example: Uchida sensei comes from Japan to teach for two weeks every year.
• Every therapy room boasts state-of-the-art HEPA filters, CO2 monitors, exhaust fans, and fresh air.
• We take care of all booking, scheduling, linens, and cleaning.

Job Requirements

• 1 year minimum experience in providing massage treatments and therapeutic services, preferably in a spa or wellness center setting
• Ability and willingness to be educatedin Ten Thousand Waves treatments and tradecraft protocols
• Trained in multiple therapeutic modalities
• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• Current massage therapy license issued by the state of New Mexico
• Current workers compensation and professional liability insurance. We can guide you in this process.
• Desire and ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays
