Job summary

Grand View Lodge is seeking a skilled Massage Therapist for Glacial Waters Spa. You will provide therapeutic massages tailored to guest needs, enhancing relaxation and recovery while delivering memorable guest experiences.

The role requires Minnesota licensure, 1–2 years of spa or resort experience, and strong communication. Weekend/holiday availability is expected, with a sign-on bonus based on scheduling availability.

Qualifications

• Minnesota Massage Therapist license required and in good standing.
• 1–2 years of spa/hotel/resort service experience preferred.
• Strong product and service knowledge, including retail offerings.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Physically able to stand/walk 4–5 hours and lift up to 80 lbs.

• Deliver exceptional therapeutic massage services tailored to each guest's preferences and goals.
• Follow established massage protocols and contribute ideas for new services/products.
• Conduct thorough guest consultations and adjust treatments as needed.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and cleanliness per Minnesota licensing and resort protocols.
• Adhere to cleaning/disinfection protocols between guests.
• Recommend retail products and additional services aligned with guests' wellness goals.
• Communicate maintenance needs to Spa Operations Manager or Director of Spa & Wellness.
• Participate in team meetings and training; support a positive team culture.
• Availability on weekends and holidays to accommodate guest schedules.

• $1,000 for full availability (4+ days per week)

You'll provide exceptional therapeutic massage services tailored to each guest's individual needs; helping them relax, recover, and leave feeling genuinely cared for. By working closely with guests to understand their preferences and goals, you'll deliver experiences that are as memorable as the resort itself. Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional therapeutic massage services tailored to each guest's preferences, needs, and treatment goals.
• Follow established massage treatment protocols and contribute ideas for new services and product recommendations.
• Conduct thorough guest consultations prior to each service; reviewing intake forms, identifying contraindications, and adjusting treatments accordingly.
• Maintain high standards of safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in compliance with Minnesota state licensing requirements and Grand View Lodge protocols.
• Adhere to all cleaning and disinfection protocols set by the resort and the State of Minnesota between every guest.
• Recommend retail products and additional services that genuinely support each guest's wellness goals.
• Communicate any maintenance needs or equipment concerns to the Spa Operations Manager or Director of Spa & Wellness promptly.
• Participate actively in team meetings and training sessions; support a positive, collaborative team culture.
• This is a resort hospitality role; availability on weekends and holidays is required to accommodate guest schedules and ensure exceptional service.
• Any other duties assigned.

What you bring:

• Current Minnesota Massage Therapist license in good standing; required.
• 1–2 years of experience in a spa, hotel, resort, or similar service-oriented environment preferred.
• Strong product and service knowledge, including retail offerings.
• Excellent listening and communication skills; you make every guest feel heard and well taken care of.
• A self-motivated, results-driven mindset with a high level of personal and professional integrity.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
• Physical stamina to stand or walk for 4–5 hours and occasionally lift over 80 lbs.
• Leadership experience is a plus; there's room to grow here.
• High school diploma or GED required; cash-handling experience preferred.
