Job summary

UnitedHealth Group’s Community Loving Care Hospice (part of LHC Group, under the Optum family) is seeking a Per Diem Massage Therapist to provide professional massage to patients per their Plan of Care. You will utilize bodywork techniques and maintain infection control while documenting care and coordinating with the IDG.

This role requires current state licensure, reliable transportation, and CPR/first aid as preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Massage Therapy licensure in state of practice.
• Proficient in body work techniques.
• Proven knowledge of physiology.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides individualized treatments that meet the patients identified needs and expectations in a safe effective manner.
• Obtain the basic medical history for a patient, assess any problems or conditions, and suggest appropriate therapy based on the current health status of the patient.
• Adhere to the infection control policies of LHC Group.
• Set visits and provide services according to the patients Plan of Care.
• Submit written documentation of care and education provided at each visit within on a timely basis.

As the Per Diem Massage Therapist, you will administer professional massage to appropriate patients in accordance with the patient's individual Plan of Care.

The Massage Therapist must have a thorough knowledge of treatments and therapeutic benefits. They must utilize excellent communication skills with patients and with the other members of the IDG to provide solutions to meet the identified needs of patients.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provides individualized treatments that meet the patients identified needs and expectations in a safe effective manner

Preferred Qualifications

• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $25.05 to $37.55 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
