Job summary

Caretenders Hospice, part of LHC Group and a member of the Optum family, offers you the opportunity to join a compassionate in-home care team. You’ll support daily living activities, monitor health, and help families with essential tasks in clients’ homes.

Qualifications

• Must have a current driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Preferred CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• 6+ months of home care experience is desirable.
• Ability to work flexible hours and independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities.
• Support household tasks, meals, and accompany clients to appointments.
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents.
• Maintain confidentiality and use EVV system; ensure a safe environment.
• Respond promptly to client needs in any home setting.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminders
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system
• Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client

Required Qualification

• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
• 6+ months of home care experience
• Ability to work flexible hours and independently

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as:

The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.55 to $26.35 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
