Position Summary

The Massage Therapist provides various massage therapy services and treatments that complement fitness programs, improve overall well-being, and enhance the guest's fitness experience while embodying the mission, vision, and core values of LifeSpa and Salon. They build relationships with other departments and educate guests on the benefits of massage therapy. Responsibilities include designing sessions tailored to guests' needs and recommending massage schedules for recurring sessions. The therapist collaborates with the entire LifeSpa and Salon team to deliver a superior, professional experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet and serve members in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide personalized massage therapy services meeting clients' needs and expectations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
• Educate clients on LifeSpa and Salon products, services, and treatments.
• Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the spa environment.
• Serve as an expert in muscle and body analysis and maintenance regimens.
• Promote and sell massage services and treatments, encouraging repeat business.
• Stay current on certifications and industry trends.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Massage Therapy License
• Ability to perform all types of massage services and treatments
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions
• Knowledge of basic PC operations
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, lift, and move up to 50 pounds

Preferred Requirements

• 2 years of professional massage experience
• Knowledge of body treatments
• Experience with Salon Biz software
