Job summary

Hotel Bel-Air, part of Dorchester Collection, is seeking a skilled Massage Therapist to join our luxury spa team. You will deliver a range of treatments, complete consultation forms, and uphold the highest standards of service.

You will bring a California State Massage Therapy License, 3 years of experience (2 in a luxury spa), knowledge of modalities, and a passion for guest satisfaction. Weekend shifts and flexible hours are required. Forbes Five-Star experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• California State Massage Therapy License required.
• At least 3 years massage experience, 2 in a luxury spa environment.
• Knowledge of a variety of massage modalities, scrubs and wraps.
• Ability to perform 4–6 services daily and work 7-hour shifts including weekends.
• Forbes Five-Star hotel or luxury resort experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of massage treatments and ensure guest comfort.
• Complete consultation forms accurately and maintain spa standards.
• Protect guest privacy and deliver high-quality service to create exceptional experiences.
• Work with other spa professionals to maintain a pristine treatment room.
• Adapt treatments to guest preferences, including pressure and modality requests.

As a massage therapist your compensation will be $25.32 per hour.

• You will be responsible for taking exceptional care of our guests and providing a variety of treatments during their day. This will also include completing consultation forms accurately and maintaining high standards in their treatment room in accordance with spa standards all to ensure our guests receives nothing but the best experience.

• Sometimes our guests have special requests involving their preferences with modalities, room temperature, preferred pressure and even special occasions. Most of these requests are fulfilled by our Massage Therapists.
• Our hotels are truly luxury hotels. This requires preventing and correcting the imperfections and blemishes that tend to come up. Our Massage Therapists are relied upon to report these and work with several other positions to correct.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and stand for up to 8 hours. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, use hand, finger and wrist dexterity. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Current California State Massage Therapy License (required)
• At least 3 years’ experience performing massage, 2 of which should be in a luxury spa atmosphere
• Forbes Five-Star, Hotel, resort or cruise ship experience a plus
• Knowledge of a variety of massage modalities, scrubs, and wraps
• Ability to perform 4 - 6 services per day
• Flexibility availability for various 7-hour shifts (opening, mid, or closing, based on business demands), to include weekends
