UnityPoint Health in West Des Moines, IA is seeking a Massage Therapist for Home Health to deliver compassionate therapeutic massage to hospice patients in their homes or inpatient unit. You will tailor treatments to each patient's needs and collaborate with the hospice IDT to support comfort and quality of life.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, accurate documentation, and adherence to hospice guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Massage Therapy.
• Licensed Massage Therapist in state(s) of practice.
• Valid driver's license required.

• Consistently utilizes a patient-centered approach considering physical, psychosocial, spiritual, educational, safety and related criteria appropriate to hospice patients.
• Provides therapeutic massage in accordance with physician order and care plan.
• Delivers quality hospice massage in alignment with participation and payer criteria.
• Develops and administers plan of treatment with hospice IDT.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation of clinical records and time/travel entries.

Shift: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

The Massage Therapist – Home Health provides compassionate, individualized therapeutic massage to support comfort, relaxation, and quality of life for patients receiving hospice care. Services are tailored to each patient’s unique needs and delivered in the patient’s place of residence or within the Inpatient Hospice Unit. Collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary team, the Massage Therapist helps address patients’ physical and emotional needs while supporting their overall well-being and providing comfort and meaningful connection for patients and their families.

• Provides therapeutic massage in accordance with written physician order and patient evaluation plan of care.
• Delivers quality care consistent with Hospice Conditions of Participation, qualifying hospice criteria, payer coverage criteria, and providing visits/treatments consistent with the plan of care.
• Develops and administers plan of treatment in collaboration with the hospice IDT.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation of clinical records and time/travel entries.

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school of Massage Therapy

Licensure/Certifications:

• Valid driver’s license
• Licensed Massage Therapist in state(s) of practice
