Job description

POSITION

Massage Therapist (LMT) - Full Time

POSITION PURPOSE

The Massage Therapist will provide services for The Therapy Center of PASCO. The Massage Therapist will be responsible for providing massage therapy treatment services in a professional and qualified manner. The Massage Therapist shall be responsible for maintaining all required licensure, education and supervision required by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA). This position reports to the Massage Therapy Supervisor.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides massage therapy to clients.

  • Schedules patient assessments and therapeutic sessions.

  • Evaluates patient capabilities and develops a treatment plan of massage therapy interventions to the needs, abilities, and medical history of patients.

  • Use physical manipulation of muscles to ease muscle contractures, spasms, extensions, muscle relaxation and muscle tension.

  • Establishes therapeutic goals for individuals and plans programs to meet these goals.

  • Periodically evaluates patient's progress toward established goals.

  • Maintains clinical notes and records.

  • Coordinates the massage therapy program with other services such as clinical, psychological, and social service in order to accomplish overall therapeutic goals.

  • Complies with all center policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.

FLSA STATUS

Non-exempt

COMPENSATION

  • Training Period – first week of employment $500 Stipend (up to 30 hours)

  • Sign-on Retention Bonus – $5,000 total, paid across month 1, month 3, and month 6 from start date.

  • On-going rate (following one week training period) - $21.20 per hour (approximately $44,928 per year)

    • Therapist will work 40 hours per week.

    • Therapist will accept all new clients until average reaches weekly clinical hour expectation, an average of 25 client session hours/week. (subject to change).


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Massage Therapist (LMT), licensed in accordance with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), Office of Massage Therapy Licensure.

  • Ability to write reports identifying patient goals, outcomes, and interventions.

  • Experience providing therapeutic treatment services to children/families.

  • Experience working with clients with terminal or chronic illnesses and/or developmental disabilities.

  • Active driver’s license.

  • Evening availability.

  • Strong organizational skills to balance productivity needs and required paperwork.

  • Ability to travel and see clients in their home.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow relevant office procedures surrounding HIPAA.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of working with clients of all ages, including infants, children, adolescents, and adults.

  • Ability to move and position self to provide massage therapy to all clients including clients on the ground or in bed, on massage tables, and clients using wheelchairs.

  • Ability to transport, move, and position objects up to 50lbs, including massage tables.

  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

ENVIRONMENT

Sessions will take place in client homes and at our office. The employee must have a reliable method of transportation to frequently travel throughout the workday to client homes and the office.

SCHEDULE

The employee will be expected to maintain a consistent schedule with 2 evenings working until 7:00 pm, 2 evenings working until 6:00 pm and 1 evening working until 5:00 pm. The exact start and end times will be determined by the Therapeutic Services Director and are subject to change.


LONGEVITY AGREEMENT
Employee will make all efforts to remain in the position for a minimum of two (2) years following the effective start date though employment will be at will.
