Job Summary
Performs all functions related to providing professional massage services to clients.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepares the massage room for a professional atmosphere, including lighting, temperature, aromas, and water elements.
- Ensures proper sanitation of the massage room and equipment.
- Performs massage according to clients' desired pressure levels.
- Adapts massage techniques for different populations and special needs.
- Works with all ages and populations, both on-site and at off-site events/health fairs.
- Follows all policies and procedures of Owensboro Health, respecting individual client needs.
- Maintains professionalism in demeanor and appearance, including neatly trimmed nails.
- Wears the designated Healthpark uniform during duties.
- Ensures client comfort and modesty during massage sessions.
- Communicates with clients to ensure technique appropriateness and comfort.
- Maintains client records and develops effective tracking systems.
- Responds to feedback from client surveys and takes actions to improve satisfaction.
- Coordinates with front desk and clients regarding appointments and therapist availability.
- Collaborates with the Healthpark team to develop marketing plans and promotions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required upon hire.
- No experience required.
- Licensed Massage Therapist in Kentucky required upon hire.
- First Aid certification required within 90 days.
- BLS or Heartsaver CPR AED certification required within 90 days.

Physical Demands
- Constant standing, frequent walking, occasional sitting.
- Rarely lift over 75 lbs; frequently push/pull 0-25 lbs; occasionally kneel, crouch, or climb.
- Repetitive hand/arm movements constantly; keyboard data entry frequently.
- Visual requirements include depth perception, color distinction, and seeing near/far frequently.
