We are looking for a collaborative and disability-competent Massage Therapist to provide massage therapy in a multidisciplinary Health Center that serves those with physical disabilities such as spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, spina bifida, multiple sclerosis, and cerebral palsy. Those with experience working with individuals with disabilities are preferred; however, training for disability-competent treatment will be provided.
The Chanda Center for Health is a 501c3 nonprofit that delivers and advocates for integrative therapy (physical therapy, massage, acupuncture, chiropractic care), primary care, and complementary services to improve health outcomes and reduce healthcare costs for people with physical disabilities. There is an expectation that all contracted providers will observe all Chanda Center for Health values and the Code of Ethics, and that they will embrace the philosophy and mission for patient-centered care.
Schedule can be flexible to meet provider’s needs and availability for days, time and duration of work; however, we are seeking a therapist for a consistent schedule during normal business hours. Hours include Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm. Opportunity is available for up to four days per week.
SERVICES: Contractor shall provide massage therapy consistent with Contractor’s license, registration, certification or accreditation. Contractor shall render all services in accordance with generally accepted professional standards consistent with their qualifications, in compliance with the standards, rules and regulations of the state of Colorado and federal agencies exercising authority over the Services provided by Contractor.
RECORDS: Contractor shall prepare and maintain complete and adequate records documenting the services provided, including evaluation, treatment planning and progress notes. Contractor shall complete all records within 24-hours of the rendition of services.
PRODUCTS: Contractor shall provide products to conduct services such as lotions and oils.
PARTICIPANT ASSISTANCE: Contractor shall assist participants with tasks including but not limited to transferring to and from wheel chair and treatment table and emptying urine bag.
Contractor will receive $50 for every service session rendered. Each service is 1 hour and 15 minutes. This allows for 55 minutes of hands-on treatment with 20 minutes to assist with transferring on and off the treatment table.

3 years full-time massage experience or 2 year full-time massage experience with 1 year experience working with persons with physical disabilities.
