Position Objective

The Massage Therapist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while delivering professional massage and body treatments.

Essential Job Functions

• Understand and use universal precautions; assess contraindications before providing services.
• Maintain comprehensive product knowledge and stay updated on all spa services offered.
• Provide consistent, professional massage and body treatments according to spa protocols and certifications.
• Recommend products for home use, aiming for a minimum service-to-sales ratio of 25%.
• Perform all treatments listed on the current services menu, based on certifications.
• Suggest additional beneficial treatments to guests.
• Understand ingredients in products and explain their benefits to guests; answer questions professionally.
• Start and end treatments on time.
• Work according to assigned schedule.
• Keep work areas clean and set up as per procedures.
• Inform Spa Director of product needs.
• Create and maintain client records with treatment notes.
• Complete all assigned side work and attend scheduled meetings and trainings.
• Assist with cleaning, disinfecting equipment, and helping with facility setup for events.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid massage license issued by the State of Florida.

Requirements

• Customer service experience, preferably in a spa setting.
• Ability to explain treatments and services clearly.
• Excellent customer service skills, work ethic, and professionalism.
• Organized, energetic, and able to multitask.
• Strong team player with good communication skills.
• Comfortable with product recommendations.
