Position Summary
To perform massage and body treatments for Members / Guests, handling all interactions in a professional and courteous manner.
Essential Responsibilities
- Arrive 15 minutes before scheduled shift
- Park your car in employee’s parking lot
- Enter the Spa by using the side door. Stop by the front desk to check in
- Perform Opening & Closing procedures as instructed
- Maintain professional decorum and image at all times
- Greet Members /Guests respectfully and on time
- Explain proper draping and disrobing to Member
- Describe procedure of treatment to Member/Guest prior to giving the service
- Follow code of ethics for massage therapists as outlined in manual
- Perform all treatments in a consistent manner according to the procedures set forth by the massage manual and trainers
- Escort guests as needed to the locker areas or next appointment
- Review Daily Sales Summary of member services rendered for correct information. Corrections to be forwarded to spa director in a timely manner as it relates to treatment change & providers pay
- Clean and re-stock treatment rooms and massage rooms as outlined in manual
- Help maintain the common area and relaxation room; regularly check new memos in sign-in notebook located at spa front desk
- Maintain availability and dedication to The Spa at St Andrews, including weekends, holidays, and evenings
- Be a team player by providing assistance as necessary to other spa team staff members and management
- Provide spa tours as necessary
- Refrain from prescribing, diagnosing, or suggesting ailments
- Do not solicit personal clients, house calls, or sell personal products
- Avoid discussing company or personal business with guests or members
Qualifications
- Knowledge of additional therapies desired
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current CPR certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a country club, hotel, or spa setting
- State of Florida Licensed Massage Therapist
