Job summary

Odyssey Resorts in Minnesota is seeking a part-time year-round massage therapist within the Salon and Spa. You will perform therapeutic massages to improve circulation, relieve stress, and alleviate pain, tailoring treatments based on client needs and maintaining detailed records.

Uphold hygiene and safety standards throughout sessions. Responsibilities include licensing compliance, ongoing education, client bookings, and upselling services while collaborating with other departments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have completed an accredited massage therapy program.
• Valid massage therapy license or certification as required by the state or local agencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of massage techniques including regular massage, and deep tissue therapy.
• Assess clients' needs and create personalized treatment plans.
• Explain massage procedures and answer client questions before beginning treatments.
• Adhere to all state and local licensing laws and regulations.
• Keep up to date with continuing education and best practices in massage therapy.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, and report any maintenance issues.
• Manage client bookings, payments, and customer records as needed.
• Upsell additional services and products when appropriate.
• Follow salon policies and comply with health and safety regulations.
• Keeps bathroom clean and stocked, storerooms organized, dusts and cleans regularly, including windows and floors.
• Foster positive working relationships and communication with all departments.
• Other duties as assigned.

DEPARTMENT : Salon and Spa - Massage Therapist

REPORTS TO: Director of Retail

SUMMARY:
This part time year round position is responsible for performing therapeutic massages on clients to improve circulation, relieve stress, promote relaxation, and alleviate pain from injuries or chronic conditions. They customize treatments based on client needs, maintain detailed records, and uphold professional standards of hygiene and conduct.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Must be at least 18 year old.

Must have previous massage experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Perform a variety of massage techniques including regular massage, and deep tissue therapy.
• Assess clients' needs and create personalized treatment plans.
• Explain massage procedures and answer client questions before beginning treatments.
