Job summary

Arcadis seeks a Principal Engineer / Scientist to act as the Licensed Site Professional for Massachusetts projects and to assist with site investigation and remediation across assessment and remediation efforts.

You will lead Arcadis teams, communicate with clients, mentor junior engineers and scientists, and ensure work plans, remedial designs, and cost estimates meet regulatory requirements across New England offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology or related field of practice.
• Active Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional certification.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in environmental consulting, with direct experience in the Massachusetts market.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the LSP-of-record for ongoing Massachusetts Waste Sites for existing Arcadis clients.
• Lead preparation of investigation work plans, remedial designs, cost estimates, and other deliverables.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, including development and management of project scopes, schedules, budgets, and communications with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Provide mentoring and training to junior engineers and scientists.
• Support business development which may include client meetings and proposal development.
• Act as a subject matter expert for regulatory interpretation, assessment and remediation.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology or related field
