Job summary

Freres Engineered Wood in Oregon is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead the plywood production team in a fast-paced mass timber environment. You will report to the Plant Manager and oversee safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ yrs of shift/large crew supervision (50+ EE’s).
• Proven leadership skills and ability to coach teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and math skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing roles and schedules.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production, safety, quality, and cleanliness of the facility.
• Coordinate production efforts to drive improvements in the plant.
• Develop team ownership and hold employees accountable.
• Assist Plant Manager with team development and cross-training.
• Inspect product quality and direct team to maximize efficiency.
• Oversee cycle counts and identify damaged or missing products.
• Document activities for management reports; lead safety meetings.
