Zusammenfassung

Western Forest Products is seeking a Mass Timber CNC Operator to join our team in Vancouver, WA. This hands-on role requires setup, programming, operation, and routine maintenance of CNC timber-processing equipment used to fabricate glulam and other mass timber components, with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will interpret shop drawings, prepare and verify CNC programs, manage tooling, and optimize machining parameters.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating CNC machinery in woodworking or timber fabrication.
• Knowledge of CNC machining principles and tool–workpiece relationships.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and production information.
• Experience with CAM, CNC programming, or CAD/CAM software.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.

Aufgaben

• Set up and operate the Hundegger Robot-Max CNC machine to fabricate glulam components.
• Review drawings and fabrication data before machining.
• Import and process CNC files using CAM and machine-control software.
• Verify programs and adjust machining parameters for quality parts.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
