Job summary

Vibrant America seeks a skilled Clinical Lab Technician to join the Mass Spectrometry Department in a part-time capacity, supporting high-throughput sample prep and instrument loading using LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, and ICP-MS. This on-site role is based at 3521 Leonard Ct, Santa Clara, CA 95054 and requires meticulous attention to detail.

The successful candidate will perform sample prep, QC, and LIMS documentation, collaborate with CLS and leadership, and work Tuesday through Saturday 3:00 PM–7:30

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related discipline.
• 1+ years of wet-lab or clinical laboratory experience; hands-on familiarity with MS platforms is preferred.
• Experience operating under CLIA, CAP, or GLP standards is a plus.
• Experience with LIMS for sample tracking and data logging is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Sample preparation & extraction for biological samples and environmental specimens.
• Instrument operation: load samples, run analyses, and assist in maintenance of LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, and ICP-MS systems.
• Perform daily calibrations, QC checks, and maintain logs per CLIA/CAP/GLP guidelines.
• Document test findings in LIMS with accuracy and traceability.
• Adhere to SOPs and chemical hygiene protocols; manage waste safely.
• Collaborate with CLS and leadership to ensure turnaround times and data integrity.
