Dillard University in New Orleans invites qualified applicants for one position of Adjunct Instructor in the Mass Communication program for the Spring 2026 semester. This is a mass communication adjunct/ part-time position reporting to the Chairperson of the School of Humanities.

The role requires a master's degree in mass communication and at least five years of professional experience in journalism or public relations, with the ability to teach up to 6 hours per term and advise students

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mass communication or related field from an accredited institution.
• Five (5) years' minimum of professional experience in journalism and/or public relations.
• A commitment to teaching excellence and a demonstrated quality teaching ability.

Responsibilities

• Teaching responsibilities will include up to 6 hours of mass communication courses while ensuring that all the student learning outcomes are achieved.
• Adjunct instructors must also be available to provide guidance and address student concerns outside of the class meeting time.
• Part-time faculty members may participate in activities relating to university programs, governance, or community activities which impact the university.
