Job Overview:
A leading litigation-focused law firm is seeking a Mass and Toxic Tort Litigation Associate Attorney for its Columbia, SC office. This full-time role is ideal for a motivated attorney with at least three years of litigation experience, preferably in asbestos and/or talc-related cases. The position offers the opportunity to handle complex, high-stakes defense matters involving toxic torts, while working in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment.

Duties:

  1. Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, pleadings, and discovery responses.
  2. Take and defend depositions in complex litigation matters.
  3. Assist with trial preparation and participate in trial proceedings.
  4. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
  5. Manage caseloads, meet litigation deadlines, and adhere to procedural rules.
  6. Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals on litigation strategy and case development.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience.
  2. Prior experience in mass tort and/or toxic tort litigation strongly preferred.
  3. Admitted to practice law in South Carolina and in good standing.
