Job summary

Phalen Leadership Academies is seeking a Masonry Instructor to lead NCCER Masonry Level 1 instruction for a 6‑week, 224‑hour IET cohort on-site in Indianapolis. You will mentor adult learners, deliver hands-on masonry training, and align lessons with NCCER and WIOA standards.

Responsibilities include assessments, coaching, and coordinating with program staff to help learners obtain credentials, pursue apprenticeships, or enter the workforce in masonry trades.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• OSHA 10 certification required.
• NCCER Craft Instructor Certification (ICTP) eligibility within first year.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with instruction and student-management software (e.g., Salesforce).

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver all NCCER Masonry Level 1 modules across a 6-week cohort.
• Provide hands-on masonry instruction and ensure safety in the lab.
• Supervise learners and enforce OSHA 10 and site safety.
• Administer NCCER tests and submit records to NCCER Registry.
• Embed Adult Education and Literacy activities aligned to standards.
• Maintain NCCER instructor certification through ongoing education.
• Represent the program with professionalism and engage employers.
