Job summary

Quinzi Construction seeks an experienced Mason to join our team in New York. You will be able to work independently or with a crew to construct and repair walls, and read blueprints to determine project specs.

You will mix and apply mortar, cut bricks and stone, use chisels, hammers, and saws, and ensure safety standards are met. A high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to lift heavy objects are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to mix, apply, and spread mortar and other adhesives.
• Read and interpret project documents and specifications.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects; good manual dexterity.

Mason Duties and Responsibilities

• Construct and repair walls
• Read and interpret blueprints and other documents to determine the specifications of a project
• Mix, apply, and spread mortar and other adhesives
• Cut and shape bricks, stone, and other materials to be used in a project
• Use specialized tools and equipment such as chisels, hammers, and saws to complete projects
• Ensure that all projects are completed in accordance with safety regulations and standards
• Perform other tasks as requested

Mason Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Mason or related field preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other documents
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Good problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Valid driver's license
