Job summary

PixelWave Studios in Akron is seeking an experienced Mason to construct, repair, and maintain brick, stone, and concrete structures on-site. You will read blueprints and prepare surfaces, laying bricks in specified patterns with mortar, and ensuring safety and quality in every task.

Job description

We are seeking experienced and skilled Masons to join our team in Akron As a Mason you will be responsible for constructing repairing and maintaining structures made of brick stone concrete blocks or other similar materials Your role will involve reading blueprints and specifications to determine the type and quantity of materials needed preparing surfaces for construction and using various tools such as trowels and levels to lay bricks or stones in a specific pattern

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
• Prepare surfaces for construction by cleaning and leveling them
• Lay bricks or stones in a specified pattern using mortar or other adhesives
• Cut or trim bricksstones to fit around windows doors corners etc
• Use various hand tools such as trowels hammers levels etc
• Repair or replace damaged bricksstones as needed
• Maintain clean and organized work area
• Adhere to safety protocols at all times

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mason or similar role
• Knowledge of bricklaying techniques and building codesregulations
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately
• Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materialstools
• Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills English not required
