Avtec Finishing is seeking a Masking Technician for 1st shift in New Hope, MN. Shift is 5:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., Monday–Thursday with overtime as needed. The role involves preparing parts for metal finishing by masking specified areas per job paperwork and instructions.

Candidate should have good hand-eye coordination, precision, and the ability to learn masking processes. Previous masking experience helps but is not required; possibility for growth and earnings beyond base wage is noted.

Qualifications

• Strong hand-eye coordination and meticulous attention to detail are required.
• Ability to read and follow written job paperwork and procedures.
• Capable of performing repetitive, precise masking on small parts with good dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow job paperwork, work instructions, and established procedures.
• Prepare and mask specific areas of parts according to job requirements.
• Apply masking materials accurately to small and detailed areas.
• Work with small parts requiring good hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity.
• Check your work to ensure correct areas are protected.
• Follow Lead instructions for masking each part.
• Maintain production pace while staying accurate.
• Ask questions if something seems off before proceeding.
• Handle parts carefully to prevent damage or quality issues.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
